Resistance training is the best form of exercise you can do.
I’ll say it another way: there is a best way to train, and it involves weights.
One more version: running and “cardio” is not the best way to train your body.
Hopefully my point is made by now. Sure, many ways exist to train, and any consistent training will produce good results. However, across the board, the single greatest result-producing activity people can do is increasing the load on their bodies and making them move. This is called weight lifting.
Included in this post is an example workout cycle for The Beginner, The Intermediate, and The Advanced. Whichever category you fall into, each will provide some ideas on how to structure (or restructure) your current exercise plan. This not the Gospel - it can be changed up and altered more to your liking if there are lifts you cannot perform or do not know. But this at least gives all of us a place to start or rejuvenate our time spent in the weight room. Click the links below to check out the workout plan that’s right for you.
